The Legend of the Mighty Eagle
The mighty eagle originates from the very beginning of time, even before this little town was formed. From that time a tiny eaglet developed into a majestic adult bird. It grew strong and courageous. With its mighty wings and keen eyesight it soared over the hills and valleys of northeast South Dakota to choose a territory for its very own. It chose the little town known as Summit for its particular care, to watch and guide the young while they developed from little eaglets into mighty eagles.
